and less time hunting down the things you need to be a great preceptor.

Pharmacist's Letter® subscribers can log on to Preceptor Training and Resource NetworkTM...your resource for preceptor training, teaching tools, and materials and information from every College/School of Pharmacy.

Take advantage of the invaluable teaching tools, such as:
  • Preceptor Toolbox
Preceptor resources you need to prepare for your students and rotations...such as sample syllabi, assignments, projects, schedules, evaluation tools, orientation checklists, etc.

  • Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience Teaching Tools: Pharmacy 101
A library of case-based teaching tools geared towards early experience students. Student cases and instructor keys give practical, real-world situations with helpful teaching points. Topics cover common pharmacy practice issues and basic therapeutic concepts, including generic substitution, product reformulations, controlled substances, pediatric antibiotic suspensions, transdermal patches, dispensing warfarin and insulin, and iron supplements. New topics and cases are added each month.

  • Advanced Practice Experience and Residency Teaching Tools: PL Journal Club
A library of case-based, interdisciplinary review of current pharmacy and medical literature. The journal club presentations cover therapeutic teaching points and basic statistical concepts for the practicing pharmacist. Use our extensive library of more than 100 topics to pick and choose what you’d like to cover with your students. Handouts include a “student” copy and an instructor’s key with answers to help you easily guide the discussion. Two new topics are added to the library each month.
